The 2008 Wakefield RISC OS show seems to have been quite a success. To far for me to travel from here on the south coast but a decent writeup and images of the days happenings can be found on the Drobe website. Not much to report here at the moment. I have not had time to do any more with the RISCOS Six upgrade that I got at the SW Show. In a nutshell the upgrade has proved to be useless on my main machine as firstly it refuses to softload the OS and secondly it does not support my Radeon Viewfinder card. So, until that gets fixed by RO Ltd Its not getting re-installed on this system. You would have thought that having implemented Viewfinder support into the latest version of the OS they would have also implemented compatability for the last run of Viewfinder cards that were produced. So not to impressed with RiscOS Six at all. |

The Hit Counter has been reset to the approximate figure prior to the loss of data. My ISP, FreeUK have been trying to find out what caused the data loss. This was carried out by the systems team at ClaraNet. No cause could be found and they did not have any reports from other users of similar data loss. I know I did not mess it up as I do not have access to that part of my webspace, only the retrieving of the count data. So many thanks go to FreeUK / ClaraNet Support Team. |

At some time in the last 2 weeks my Hit-Counter has got itself well and truely messed up. Hits were totalling approx 10200 since the uploading of the site but mysteriously it has reset itself to ZERO. The Counter itself is out of my control as it is provided by my ISP ie FreeUK. I have emailed their support team and my email has been passed up the chain from Support to their Systems team. With any luck I might get told how this counter lost its data. Afterall I cannot change any of its code or data as I do not have access to it, only its count data. So there we go, must be a Y2K8 bug? :op |

A BLOG or WebLog as its called. Thought this might be a better idea. That being to seperate the site updates, which will remain in the Whats New section and now including a Archive of all previous updates based on the year of upload. This being mainly due to the updates page being about six miles long and ranging back to 1st January 2003! So the real boffs can if they want read past history, I myself will give it a miss. Next the Log side, which will appear here, and hopefully more frequently, will comprise of thoughts, frustrations and achievements in the RISC OS world. So first on the list, RISC OS Six.
